All encryption is done on the client side (PC, phone etc) prior to any uploading so even the connection is secure. As for the type of encryption:

I use Wuala as it is encrypted on the computer before it is uploaded meaning noone can see what it is.

I use GPP Remote Viewer.... Not that concerned about security as never really thought about it.

It uses a small agent/server on the laptop to allow access and you have to sign in with a password on the phone. I guess technically, someone from the people that created the app could access it but why ...
