You have to thrash a 125 to get anywhere
Mines still poorly and my dad is threatening to throw it out if I don't get it sorted as it makes his garage look untidy, apparently Got a good workshop manual for it with some wiring diagrams so i'm going to have a go in the next few days at eliminating things. My main suspect points are CDI, coil and flywheel sensor. So heres hoping I can get it going and sell it and move onto something more reliable.... and potent

I now know my 2 stroke inside out, so give me a shout if you're stuck, although my success rate isn't very high.

Cheers Hippy, i'll no doubt be putting a post up asking for some ideas. Even the RS forums don't have that much info on the electrical issues.... just all seems to be rebuilding engines and how best to tune the little screamers more.
I must say its taken the shine off owning a bike with its unreliability, but then again if i'd bought a car that was 7 years old and had several young owners i'd expect pretty much the same standard of past maintenance and care (NONE!).

The bike shop have had my bike this morning and have come to the conclusion it's blown a crankcase oil seal
Engine out, crankcase apart job. Boooooooo.
Not paying for that.
Looking on ebay, my bike is worth less than £200 as a non-runner.
£400 ish as a runner.
Need to decide if £200 is worth me fixing it.
Gutted.
New bike in the mean time for me!
