Ok folks im after some advice if you please.
Just moved into my new pad and have not got internet etc. Now im waying up the options and the first issue is cost! Im after an internet connection I can download stuff on (im not a massive bit torrent user or anything though) maybe the odd select video or two and that’s it
Im not sure I need a phone line. Got the mobile on orange and most people will get me on that im guessing. Do I really need line rental?
Tv. Got a free view box but things like virgin come with free tv basically. And I could always get a dodgy card I guess? Is it any better than digital?
So open to suggestions at the moment. So far im thinking virgin media as its already in the house. Other than that im considering orange broadband as its cheep with them and I get a landline. Alternatively AOL (yea I know but my dads been with them for years and there not that bad and you get a free laptop which would be nice)
Opinions?

I've just set up BB with enta as they have 1 month contracts and I'm only in a rental. Bit more expensive and being miles away from the exchange my speed is pap.
If you have virgin cable I'd stick with that, if you have to have a BT phone line then BE is about the best ISP for speed if your line is enabled and capable.

The problem with virgin cable is they have a tendency to diconect you if you upload... Its been happening to me for ages and each time I have to restart the router. Never did figure out what really caused it till I saw so many other people saying thing same thing.
Im moving in afew weeks and looking at just going onto sky if possible as be* isnt availble

BE is good. I have been with them for a while now. Great service setting up my line and support was quick turnaround. Very stable line. I only use it for bb of course.

I've got 8meg broadband cable and a virgin media box for £24 a month, don't even want the media box, but it was only an extra £1 a month.
Think you can add the phone to that package for £30 a month
Service has been faultless so far in over 2 years, but then that does mean i havn't had to call customer services
