Crime is down, Gun Crime is up.

His Gov has done good things but they have also messed up. Could his term been better, could someone else have done better. I for one can't really say.
Yeah cos they have locked up all the people for minor crimes as their easy targets and all the real criminals are still out on the streets as the abysmal training that alot of police get to deal with situations such as gun related incidents means they usually end up getting shot and killed. Why would they risk their life to deal with a really bad crime when they can tick all the boxes in the database by arresting and getting prosecutions of petty criminals.

Maybe if they'd saved the 5 billion they spent on banning handguns on training more and better police forces we might not be seeing the same trend. Their not interested in public safety just numbers on a computer. I bet nearly every person on this forum would say that they think their should be more 'bobby's on the beat' rather than wizzing about in their fast flash cars with fancier and fancier sticker and lighting systems.

Yep the guy wasn't perfect by any means. Please point to an administration that you consider was good or a current politician that you consider will do a good job.

"War is not the answer" - So what is the answer? Diplomacy? Clearly that hadn't worked. 9/11 was what we were up against. How would you have responded to terrorist killing thousands of you people? Get them round the table and tell them that violence isn't the answer?

What I am getting at, I guess, is that it is all too easy to be an armchair politician, but almost impossible to get things right.

LOL...and this is the guy that has me spitting feathers over the tuition fees and student loans

Oh don't get me started on Tuition Fees and Student Loans Clingy!

I was a British citizen that went to university in Scotland, having lived in England. I paid full Tuition Fees while my German flatmate paid diddly squat because Scotland were part of the EU or some such thing and Scotland decided in their wisdom to not levy fees on EU students but still levied them on English and I believe Welsh students :( They scrapped that as the legal battle over fees would ahve cost them all fortunes.

He was a decent leader but but the party around him leaves much to be desired and I certainly don't support Brown.
