restricted u say? ur only saying that because its new and ur unsure. That restriction would be off with in the month if not the week. If i was u i would do my cbt and then get ur small license so u can ride 125's then after two years of getting invaluable confidence and knowledge u can automatically get a big bike no sweat
whats two years? ask screwy crikey hes had about 30 of them two year periods

You're as bad as me!
Think i've decided not to do the full test and to just get a little 125 to tide me over for a few months, not that i dont want to do the full test, just i cant afford it.
Will be looking at something like this i think

GN125 is a good place to start m8. I'm looking at a GZ125 Maurader for the boy. A bit more custom stylee but not quite up to the Intruder 125. Silly money though. £1999 new and about £1250 for a 5000 mile 4 year old one.
I have been quoted as much as £1400 for fully comp insurance, so I might have to change my plans

Blimey, that's a lot!
I plan to spend about £500 on a bike, no more, with the hope that it wont lose too much in value and i can flog it for near what i paid for it.
Also, with such a cheap bike, i can just get 3rd party insurance.
May even book my CBT for this weekend so i cant change my mind again, i could quite easily just say F*ck it, and put myself £3k in debt over it, but i really dont want to.

Anyone had experience of these Chinese ones like Jinlun?
A friend of mine has one of these

If was her first bike and has had it for over a year now. The original build quality is not quite up to the suzuki standard when it comes to finshing etc however this is just cosmetic and not a big problem. Everything you see in the pic it came with, engine bars, hard panniers and also sissy bar. Also the thing goes like stink!!! I've been shocked by the performance of it for such a cheap cruiser style bike!
They are going for around £1200 in some dealers now. Also spares are getting easier to source and the mechanics are getting used to the Chinese bikes now. There is some to and fro to get the bike pdi'd and registered etc and is worth getting it from a dealer who deals with it all on your behalf to save you a fair few days of hassle.
Dont forget to get him a tube of autosol and some polishing rags as well tho
Good Luck and safe riding.
