Last week i managed to drill through a gas pipe in my kitchen floor.
Brand new wooden floor throughout the downstairs hall and lounge, nice tiled floor in the kitchen, i was putting the finishing strip in between hallway and kitchen

Ironic really that the hole i was drilling didn't really need to be there, i was just making sure it was in tight.
Half the floor has now been ripped up and 4 or 5 tiles in the kitchen taken out, A small fleet of Transco people were called out to make sure i wasn't about to blow the street up, and a £450 insurance job.
Still have a 2 foot wide hole in my floor

So there we go, add DIY to the list of things i cant do, cars, bikes, women and DIY
Anyone got any similar storys to ease my pain?
