At the moment when I copy then i get a list Track 1 Track 2 etc I need to rename them manualy at the moment and was wondering if any one knows of a program that will look up on the net and down load the correct name to the correct files.

I think you need to look at the program that you are using to copy the tracks to your computer with. I am sure a load of programs will rip the content of a cd and take with it all the track names and other details.

A good free one is EAC with lame codec. I used it ages ago with good results.

If you are using xp or vista then the media player supplied with do what you want. Music already on the pc will have to be manually renamed, but re rip the cd and either search manually during or before ripping or, as usually happens the names appear automatically.

Media player will let you adjust mp3 and wma compression settings to suit.

Very True SpaceCop, but there is the odd time that WMP wouldn't get them. I have the Traveling wilbury's volume 1 and 3 on the same cd which it didn't get.

Yes indeed, I have also found there is sometimes too much choice following a search esp something a lil older like queen or bowie.

I have also found on copied CDs the album info is missing and doesn't get identified, or so I have heard.
