Anyone using Ubuntu here? I've been dual booting it for months now and only use XP for gaming now and then.

Due this month version 8.04 LTS (Long Term Support) comes out of Beta... and I can't wait.

You can try it out via Live CD, but once installed your PC is at its zenith.

Been using Ubuntu for about a year now and I love it. It is a great O/S. It is also very handy if you Windows box gets a virus. Load the live CD go into bash remove the file. :)

I've heard of people playing BF2 on Ubuntu, but looking at this <a href="http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... n&iId=3438" target="_blank">Wine HQ report</a> it looks like a hit and miss aspiration.

Once again with <a href="http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... n&iId=1838" target="_blank">IL2</a>, it looks do-able, but also looks like a lot of work.

Still, as you'll probably already know, there's the option of dual booting.
