Patch Is Out...

Was having a quiet afternoon and thought I'd have a quick bash online... Suddenly EA are there with a little pop-up pressie saying there's a patch ready and waiting...

Yeah, they say its incorporating the new maps and Vietnam, which by the way I heard is a Dec. 18th release

The patch is a biggie, over 2 gigs

It did take a while to install - good job I had the room on my drive.

So, is Vietnam a freebie then?

I wish it was, all you do when you buy Vietnam is get the key code that unlocks the content. Only the 2 new maps in the map pack for regular BFBC2 is free

Well my updater is not finding any new patch.

It goes straight into the game.

I'm having to manually download the patch: <a href="http://blogs.battlefield.ea.com/battlef ... -2-pc.aspx" target="_blank">Links</a>

The last patch wouldn't install correctly either.

Manual Patch worked fine.

Make sure all hacks are turned OFF (this will install correctly then)

Had a quick go with the G3 with acog last night before an early nights rest. Like it a lot apart from the recoil, will have to hopefully improve this with the advanced fore grip thingy plus sign.

well i have to say im a bit disappointed, loaded the patch tried to play, but it was just a lag fest, graphics constantly trying to recache

Everyone using just G3's with scopes or Scar's, the AK/M16 types seemed to do ****** all..
