Got plenty of SSD loving going on now and was toying with RAID0 on my rig with a pair of the 60Gb Agility3's I have, question is, how do I do it..
As it stands I have the following.
60Gb Vertex2 OS/Apps
90Gb Vertex2 User Files/Game Installs
60Gb Agility3 Temp folder/swap file
I have the following drives.
60Gb Vertex2
90Gb Vertex2
2x60Gb Agility3
120Gb Agility3
Motherboard is only SATA2 so the speed difference between the Agility's and the Vertex is negligible.
I was thinking pairs the Agility3's up and having them as the boot drive, but then I thought I might get better performance from my games if I use the R0 for the game drives.
Then there's the other train of thought that says its plenty fast enough as it is and maybe I should put the spare SSD's into the laptop's...
Anyone got any input?

Well now let me think.................................................
Dont be a Muppet DO IT, at least as an experiment.
I think you should raid them mofo's together, take an image of the new drive and play about with the stripe size until you found the sweet spot, i should think it will be blistering.

Ok, well I did it lastnight...
Probably not the best use of space but what I ended up doing was R0'ing the 60 and 90gb V2's together for a 120Gb Boot drive.
And then the 2x60gb A3's for Data.
Leaving me an A3 120Gb for temp/swap useage...
tbh I've not really noticed any difference yet, altho I am still only installing apps remotely while I'm sat at my desk..
See how it goes tonight with some BF3/Diablo3/Steam play...

It's a great idea for the purpose of experimenting and getting the T shirt, but unless something has changed recently, and I missed it, RAID doesn't support the use of TRIM yet.
I'd just question the benefit of the long term, and intense use, of an SSD without the 'protection' TRIM offers.![unsure ](./images/smilies/unsure.gif)
