Hi guys, I got so brassed off with ezeedsl and the shocking high pings (300+) that I went and requested my mac code and signed up with BeInternet. The new package gives a theoretical maximum of 24meg line with 1.5mb upload and is unlimited. 24 sovs a month sounds reasonable as well.
I got my mac code from ezeedsl by email within half an hour and immediately signed up.
I now have an activation date of the 20th this month and will update this page with my progress.
Hmmm makes me want to change from ukonline. I never really experience any trouble except for dns..... so i just spam disconnect/reconnect and this remedies it. Can't grumble at the price but seeing this I might just dig the contract out and find when I can opt out.
Is mac code all thats needed when changing supplier ? this is my first time with adsl
I do now though have a secret 2nd line technical support phone number that means I can bypass the South African/Indian call centre drones who leave their brains in the cloakroom before they start their shift.
looked for my contract and can't find it. logged into my account and i'm stuck! no where does it mention expiry / account length or anything really relating to my account. doh!
this means only 1 thing, suffering on the telephone...... roll on the weekend.
Today is connection day. Plugged in the Be-box wired/wireless modem router and switched it on. I have a line speed of 7.7meg down and .9 meg up right out of the box.
Gonna look into tweaking things later.
Now for a few torrents.
Crikey im uploading at 130kb/s
peaking at around 525kb/s on me dl but that is on torrents with limited seeders I think.
Downloading from ftp I get 900kb/s now, I want more though.
