Netbook Prices How Low?

I assume from <a href="http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20091207PB201.html#" target="_blank">this</a> snippet that sellers like HP can buy a complete netbook/laptop device for as low as $45 when ordering by the million.

Do you remember all the struggles to make a laptop for every child in africa for under $100? Well if they ordered by the million them green simply designed ones could have been bought for about $20 each surely.

All sounds like we will be getting just as screwed in the future as we have been in the past.

Any other examples of bulk buying power? Please post here.

I suppose when you factor in, badging, the OS, packaging, marketing, shipping, etc, it will possibly come to more than that. BUT.... I can't see why they can't retail them for much less than what they do now.
